During the last week it has become evident that Muddear has no idea who I am. Ironically, she remembers Mike, but me? I might as well be a complete stranger walking down the street.
I used to be able to provide Muddear with clues that would jog her memory. The realization that I was her granddaughter was always accompanied by the biggest smile and show of affection. "Come give Muddear a hug! Who woulda ever thought, I'd be living with my granddaugther?"
Now my clues are met with blank stares. It is truly sad.
