Tips For Caregiver's

People with Alzheimer's disease frequently become more disoriented after dark or when waking. Leaving a night-light on in the bedroom may be helpful.

Thanksgiving Night

Today, I am simply thankful. Thankful for the many blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me. Those things that I have asked for and those things that I never even realized I needed, yet He saw fit to bless me. I am thankful for my husband and children...grandparents (Muddear), parents and siblings...friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. I am thankful for the roof over my head, the clothes on my back, and the fact that I never have to worry about what I will eat each day, and the country where I live. The Lord has provided them all.

I visited a website this evening that made me realize even more how very blessed I am. I have attached the link for all that may visit this blog. The next time you need a little pick-me-up, click on this link: http://www.globalrichlist.com/

Hey Nikki,

You know God knows and sees all the good things you are doing and has done for your grandmother, so be encouraged your rewards are stored in heaven. Have a blessed day.

Thank you for your encouragement. As a caregiver it is the encouragement of others that lifts the spirit and eases the pressures of the day.

Marty,

The Global Rich List counter shows that we have a lot more to be thankful for than we probably ever realized. The first time I visited the site I was shocked! It sort of puts things into perspective.

Hand in there, Nikki. Despite the fatigue and the down times, there is great joy in caring for those who cannot care for themselves. Mother Theresa said that we could not be there to offer Christ a drink of water while he hung on the Cross, we could not wipe His brow, but every time we help someone in need, we are helping Him.
